Changes you can make to fields of the Refer patient screen
In the Fields section of rVetLink's referral configuration settings, you can change the function of fields that have an Edit button in the right column.
To change the function of a field, select the Edit button. As a result, rVetLink shows the Edit Field dialog box.
Select Add to add an option to the field.
- The name of an option in the field
- The sequence of options in the field
Custom fields
- The name of the field
- If referring vets select an option in the field, or enter text
- The names of options that you add to the field
- The sequence of options in the field
This table gives each toggle setting and its function:

| Visible | Controls if the field shows in the the Refer patient screen |
| Required | Controls if the field is mandatory for referring practice staff |
| Custom List | Controls if the field has a drop down list of options |
| User Override | If the field has a list of options, controls if referring practice staff can enter text in the field |
