It is important to configure the rVetLink portal correctly. If you do not configure it correctly, some web browsers will not show the portal.

Staff of specialty and emergency practices can sign in and out of rVetLink and change the practice  password.

If rVetLink does not have an integration with your PIMS, you can use rVetLink to monitor the patients that other practices referred to you.

Referring practices

Before you can use rVetLink, you must sign in.

Sign in to rVetLink

If necessary for security, you can change the    practice password. For example, to prevent   access that is not approved, change the password when a staff member permanently stops employment.

If you cannot remember your  username, rVetLink can send you an email that includes your username.

Practices that do not have an integration with a PIMS can use the Patient Referrals screen to monitor and do necessary work with referrals that other practices sent to them.

The Check In Notices Sent report has information about each message that  rVetLink sent to the applicable referring practice after your practice admits a referred patient.

After you downloaded a report as a file, you can use the information in the report as necessary. For example, you can send the information to your organization's head office.

About faxes in rVetLink

After you configure fax notifications, rVetLink can automatically send faxes to referring practices.

If rVetLink does not send a fax to a referring practice without a configured email address, the practice  cannot receive the applicable patient update. Make sure that you do a  check every day for faxes that do not send.

Referring practice staff use the Patient Chart screen to find information about referred patients. You can change the date range that rVetLink sets automatically in the Patient Chart screen. As a result, the Patient Chart screen shows more or fewer patients.

If the incorrect email addresses are receiving emails, you can change the email addresses.

If your organization changes its methods of communication (for example, its address or phone number), it is necessary to make the applicable changes in rVetLink.
