Add a specialty for referrals

After you add a specialty, referring practice staff can select it when they make a referral.

To add a specialty, do this procedure.
  1. Select Administration.

    rVetLink shows the rVetLink Administration screen in a new browser tab.
  2. Select Referral.

    rVetLink shows settings to configure how referring practices refer patients.
  3. In the General section, select Specialties.
    rVetLink shows a list of the specialties of your organization.
  4. Select + Add.
    rVetLink shows boxes to enter information for a new specialty.
  5. In the box in the Name column, enter the name of the specialty.

  6. In the box in the Completion Message column, select the name of the message that rVetLink shows after referring practice staff complete a referral.

  7. In the box in the Send To column, enter an email address that rVetLink sends copies of referrals to.

    Tip: If the specialty is for a department of a hospital, rVetLink customer support recommends that you enter the applicable email for the department. But if you configured an email address for all referral emails, it is not necessary to configure email addresses for departments
  8. In the box in the Sort Order column, select where you want the specialty to show in the sequence of specialties.

    Note: The sequence of specialties shows for referring practice staff when they make referrals.
  9. Select Save.
  10. Select ✓ Save.

rVetLink has the specialty. Referring practices can select the specialty when they make a referral.
