Refer a patient again

Use the Refer Patient button in the Patient Information section to refer a patient to a specialty or emergency practice again.

Make sure that you read the General steps to refer a patient documentation about the Refer Patient screen and its sections.

To refer the patient again, do this procedure.
Note: rVetLink automatically enters the client and patient information.
  1. Select Patient Chart.

    rVetLink shows the Patient Chart screen.
  2. In the Patient First Name box, enter the first name of the patient.

  3. In the Client Last Name box, enter the last name of the client.

  4. Use the Last Updated setting to select a date range when the patient information was last updated.

    Note: You can find patients with medical information that was updated today, yesterday, last week, or last month. Select All to find patients treated in the last six months.
  5. Select Search.

    If rVetLink finds a patient that matches the search criteria, it displays the patient information in the Patient Chart screen.
  6. In the Details column of the applicable patient, select Show.

  7. In the Patient Information section, select Refer Patient.

  8. Enter all referral information as necessary.
  9. Select Submit.

rVetLink sends the referral to the specialty or emergency practice.
