About faxes in rVetLink

rVetLink can use faxes to send patient updates to referring practices.

In the Faxes section of rVetLink's notification configuration settings:
  • Select Outbox to get access to a list of faxes that rVetLink could not send
  • Select Sent to get access to a list of faxes that rVetLink sent to referring practices
  • Select Deleted to get access to a list of faxes that rVetLink deleted

This table shows each possible column in a list of faxes and the information that it gives:

ColumnInformation that it gives
Message TypeThe type of patient update that the fax has
Fax ProviderNone
Note: This column shows Ring Central for all faxes.
Practice NameThe name of the referring practice that receives the fax
PatientThe name of the patient that the fax has information about
Fax NumberThe fax number the referring practice that receives the fax
StatusShows if rVetLink sent the fax
Last UpdateThe last time that rVetLink tried to send the fax
Paper clip iconThe number of files attached to the fax
Tip: Hover over the number in this column to show information about the files.
Other icons
  • Select the phone icon to send the fax again.
  • Select the paper icon to show what medical files the fax contained
  • Select the circle arrow icon to try to send the fax again

Fax statuses

This table gives each possible value in the status column of a list of faxes and the information that it gives:

StatusInformation that it gives
FailedThe referring practice did not receive the fax
Note: A Failed status can have more than one cause.
PendingrVetLink continues to try to send the fax
BusyrVetLink did not send the fax because the fax line is engaged
SentrVetLink sent the fax
