Reset the password of a referring practice

If necessary for security, or if referring practice staff do not know their password, you can reset the password of a referring practice.

To reset the password, do this procedure.
Note: If referring practice staff know their password, they can change it. If they do not know their password, your staff must reset it for them.
  1. Select Administration.
    The Administration tab
    rVetLink shows the rVetLink Administration screen in a new browser tab.
  2. Select Practice.

  3. In the right column of the applicable practice, select Edit.

    rVetLink shows the Edit Practice dialog box.
  4. Select Reset Password.
    The Reset Password button
rVetLink changes the referring practice's password to temppassword.
Note: rVetLink does not automatically contact the referring practice about the password change.
  1. Tell the referring practice that you changed their password.
  2. Tell the referring practice staff to change their password again.
  3. Make sure that the practice staff know that they all must use the same password.
