Information about your referring practices

Use rVetLink to find and make changes to information about your referring practices.

To find information about your referring practices:
  1. Select Administration.
    The Administration tab
  2. Select Practice.
    The Practice tab

rVetLink shows a table that has information about each of your referring practices.


A table of referring practices

This table gives information about each column of the table of referring practices:

ColumnInformation
User NameA string of text that identifies the referring practice
Note: You cannot make changes to a referring practice's user name.
Practice NameThe name of the referring practice
Referral IDThe ID of the referring practice from your PIMS
Email(s)The email addresses of the referring practice
FaxThe fax number of the referring practice
StatusShows one of these statuses:
  • Inactive: The referring practice did not receive a welcome letter and cannot receive notifications from rVetLink
  • Activated: The referring practice received a welcome letter and can receive notifications from rVetLink but no staff signed in at this time
  • Accessed: Staff of the referring practice signed in to rVetLink

Find information about referring practices

To find information about one referring practice, use the Search box.

To find information about more than one referring practice, use the options in this table:

The filter buttonSelect the filter button in the column header to show only necessary practices.

After you select the filter button, you can choose a filter option and enter a keyword to see the necessary practices. For example, you can show only practices that have Accessed status.

Column headerSelect the column header to change the alphabetical sequence of practices.

After you select the column header, the column shows an up arrow icon. rVetLink uses this column to change the sequence of practices.

For example, you can select the Practice Name column header to change the sequence of referrals based on the patient name, in alphabetical sequence.

Make changes to information about referring practices

To make changes to information about referring practices, select the Edit button for the applicable practice.

Note: IDEXX customer support recommends that each referring practice uses the rVetLink portal to make changes to their information. As a result, you will have more time for other important tasks. If it is necessary to make changes to a referring practice's information, see Configuration settings for more information.

The Add Practice button

Important: IDEXX customer support does not recommend that you use the Add Practice button to add referring practices to rVetLink. Only use the button if IDEXX customer support gives you permission.
