Add patient files to a sent referral

After you send a referral to a specialty or emergency practice, you can upload medical records, lab results, and diagnostic images for the applicable patient.

To add a patient file to a sent referral, do this procedure.
Note: If you select Will be attached, you must upload a minimum of one file to the referral.
  1. Select Patient Referrals.

    rVetLink shows the Patient Referrals screen.
  2. In the Status column, select the filter button.

  3. Set Show items with value that to Is equal to.
  4. Enter Submitted.
  5. Select Filter.
  6. Select the pencil button of the applicable referral.

    rVetLink shows the Refer Patient screen.
  7. At the top of the screen, select Patient.
    rVetLink shows the Patient Information and Patient Files sections.
  8. In the Patient Files section, select Add File.

  9. Select Select Files (400MB max).
  10. Find and select the necessary patient file.
  11. If necessary, add a description for the file.
    Note: If you do not enter a description for a file, rVetLink uses the file name as the description.
  12. Select Upload.

rVetLink adds the patient files to the referral and sends the referral to the practice.
