About your practice email addresses

You can configure different email addresses to receive different types of information about referring practices.

Configure your practice email addresses in the Email Settings section of rVetLink's general configuration settings.


The Email Settings section

This table tells you the types of emails that the email addresses configured in each box of the Email Settings section receive:

New rDVM Account AddedNotifications when your PIMS syncs new referring practices to rVetLink.
Note: Do regular checks of the inbox for this email address. It is important to know when rVetLink has new referring practices, because your staff must activate each practice before the practice can:
  • Send referrals
  • Receive notifications from your practice
  • Receive files that have records of patient treatment
rDVM Login HelpNotifications to send a username to a practice or reset the password of a referring practice
rDVM Profile/Contact ChangeNotifications after referring practices change their communication information (for example, an email address) or notification settings
Note: If a referring practice changes communication information, rVetLink customer support recommends that you make applicable changes to the information in your PIMS.
Tip: If a referring practice configures rVetLink to not send patient update notifications, rVetLink customer support recommends that you configure the notifications to send again. As a result, the practice will continue to receive files that have important patient information. Tell the practice about the features of rVetLink notifications and why it is important to receive them.
